About Sparta Rec Gymnastics:
Each class in our Recreational Gymnastics program is designed to maximize fun while learning. We encourage all students to reach their full potential at their own pace. Classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence while learning new and exciting skills. Classes in the REC program are for kids ages 2 through 14.
BEGINNER:
In our Beginner class, gymnasts focus on the fundamentals of gymnastics. Students are developing a solid understanding of skills and learning basic movements, flexibility and strength. Skills to begin developing in this class include splits, cartwheels and handstands on the floor, modified pullovers and casts on bars, squat-ons on vault and beginning beam skills involving balance and movement. **This class is replacing Level 1
